Asia Caldwell’s passion for mental health is unmistakable. Her journey began at a young age when she witnessed a family member become hospitalized and unresponsive, sparking her curiosity about the mind’s workings. From that day, she dedicated herself to learning more, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, a registered nursing degree from Baptist College of Health Sciences, and becoming a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Walden University.
With her degrees, Asia set out to help those in need. She worked at Youth Villages, a mental health facility in Memphis, and several hospitals across the United States, caring for patients of all ages, races, socioeconomic classes, and backgrounds. She witnessed many health disparities firsthand, particularly in mental health.
As a PMHNP-BC, Asia provides holistic and integrative care to individuals 18 years and older. A recent graduate with a strong background in mental health, she focuses on treating depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and mood disorders. Asia excels at connecting with her patients, offering a listening ear, and showing empathy, regardless of the challenges she faces.
In her spare time, when not conducting comprehensive evaluations, obtaining thorough patient histories, and managing medications to create patient-centered care and personalized mental health wellness plans, Asia enjoys spending time with her family and children, doing what they love best.

“Wellness encompasses a healthy body, a sound mind and a tranquil spirit. Enjoy the journey as you strive for wellness.” – Laurette Gagnon Beaulieu. You may have struggled with mood and anxiety for some time with no support or true relief. Or perhaps, you are taking psychiatric medication but the depression and anxiety still manage to creep in and increase throughout your day-to-day routine. You may also long for a provider that will actually take time to hear you out instead of pushing you out of the door with a prescription in hand. If any of the above resonates with you, I would like to help.
I believe that there is a deep connection between the mind, body, and soul, and I am dedicated to practicing integrative psychiatry. My aim is to blend the best of both worlds: traditional medicine with alternative therapies. While medication can be helpful in a patient's treatment plan, I equally advocate for therapy, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.
As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I would like for you to know that you do not have to struggle any longer. If your current treatment plan isn't working for you or you've never sought mental health care before, I would love to partner with you by taking a more integrative wellness approach to your journey.
